Four Selangor FC players, Brendan Gan, Faisal Halim, Sharul Nazeem and Quentin Cheng have returned to the Red Giants training camp today after representing Malaysia in Tier 1 International Matches in China recently.

The National Squad played against two teams, Syria (2-2) and China (1-1) in the Tier 1 International Matches. Faisal Halim, one of the key players of Selangor FC this season and also the local top scorer in the 2023 Super League, scored one goal in the match against China.

Faisal Halim is grateful to have scored a goal for Malaysia and is hoping to carry on his form with Selangor FC when he resumes their journey in the Malaysian League.

"Alhamdulillah, a blessing from God, I was able to score a goal in the match against China, which I dedicate to Malaysia. I am very grateful for the support given by my family and supporters. Even though both matches ended in draws, I believe that the players gave everything for the country.

Today, me and my teammates, Brendan Gan, Sharul Nazeem and Quentin Cheng will continue our battle with the club in the Malaysian League. We just arrived in Malaysia this morning, and we will straight away train today as preparation for the Malaysia Cup match this Saturday," Faisal enthused.

This week, the Red Giants squad goes against Terengganu FC on September 16 at 9 p.m. in the first leg of the Malaysia Cup Quarter Final.

Selangor FC wishes the national players a happy return to the Gergasi Merah training camp. Hopefully, the team will be motivated and ready to compete in the Super League and Malaysia Cup this season.

Demi Kebanggaan!
