Berlin Leong Off To Spain

The Selangor FC Women's squad for the 2023 season will lose another pillar of the team, Berlin Leong Xin Yin to continue her studies at University Carlos III of Madrid and will continue her football career with the Atletico Trabenco Women's team until 2026.

Better known as Amoi, has been with the Selangor Women's squad since 2019 in the Tun Sharifah Rodziah Cup tournament. She then was signed with CF Pozuelo Juvenil A Femenino and CF Pozuelo Femenino Senior B in 2020.

Berlin also started representing Malaysia when she was 17 years old in the AFC U19 Championship. In the following year, she was called to join the Malayan Tigress main squad in the 2020 AFF Women's Football Championship and the FIFA International Women's Football Series with Bangladesh.

Before deciding to continue her studies, Berlin played in three matches with the Selangor FC Women's squad helping the team to be in second place with five points accumulated in the 2023 National Women's League so far. Out of three games, she managed to make 3 shots on target and 3 corner kicks.
