"Whether Faisal Halim will start or not, the coaching staff has planned out how to integrate him into the team accordingly. Nonetheless, he has made sure that he is still in the best shape despite being unable to join his teammates in training for a month. The coaching staff had also put him through extra training during that break so that he would be prepared to play tonight.

“We also brought in several players from the Selangor U23 team to give them the chance and experience on a bigger stage. I'm hoping that by doing this, young players will be motivated and always be prepared when given the chance because anything can happen. If things work out tonight, I'll let them play," said Tan Cheng Hoe.

As for the players' availability, according to Tan Cheng Hoe, "Safuwan Baharudin, Zikri Khalili and Richmond Ankrah are still in the recovery phase from their injuries. Apart from them, the other players are at the best level to join the squad."
