Preparations Begin For U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers 2024

On August 30th, the national youth team began preparations to face competition in Group H for next year's U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers in Thailand on September 4.

Elavarasan, the National U23 gaffer, has called up six Selangor FC young players namely Mukhairi Ajmal, Syahir Bashah, Ruventhiran, Harith Haiqal, Zikri Khalili and Izwan Yuslan to participate in the team's final preparations for the tournament. Two Selangor B23 players are also listed in the ready list namely Syahmi Adib and Muhammad Khalil.

The national youth squad has been drawn into Group H for the 2024 U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers, against Bangladesh (September 6), the Philippines (September 9) and hosts, Thailand (September 12) at the Chonburi Stadium.

The eleven teams that top their group respectively in the qualifying competition (Group A to Group K) along with four runner ups of the best group and the host, Qatar will be eligible to play in the 2024 U23 Asian Cup which will take place in Qatar, next year.

Selangor FC wishes good luck to the National U23 squad for this qualifying round. Hopefully Malaysia will make it to the U23 Asian Cup next year!
