The Malaysia football team started their World Cup 2026 and Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers campaign brilliantly with two victories over Chinese Taipei (1-0) and Kyrgyztan (4-3) in November making Harimau Malaya the current leaders of Group D with six points.

Six players represented their respective countries, namely Brendan Gan, Faisal Halim, Sharul Nazeem, Mukhairi Ajmal, Safuwan Baharudin (Singapore) and Noor Al-Rawabdeh (Jordan) have officially reported back to the Gergasi Merah camp today at the SFC Training Center alongside another seven national players under the age of 23, Syahir Bashah, Harith Haiqal, Zikri Khalili, Syahmi Adib, Izwan Yuslan, Muhammad and Aiman ??Hakimi. Back from the National camp, Mukhairi Ajmal brought a positive mindset back to the Red Giants camp.

"Alhamdulillah, after the end of Round 2 of the World Cup 2026 / Asia Cup 2027 Qualifiers, I am back with the team. Among the things I got from the national camp is that we as a team need to be united in any situation.

"Training with the other players at the Harimau Malaya camp has given me the motivation to perform better in the remaining matches of the season. I hope we can prepare ourselves and do our best in order for us to finish well in the Super League," said Mukhairi.

Selangor FC still have three Super League matches remaining, namely against Perak FC (November 25), Kedah Darul Aman (December 2) and PDRM FC (December 17) before the curtain closes on the Malaysian football scene for this season.

Hopefully the players from the National camp can boost the team's morale from the victory gained from Round 2 of the 2026 World Cup / 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers to be carried into the remaining three matches of the 2023 Super League.

Demi Kebanggaan!
