Selangor FC U18 Advance To Quarter-Finals of Piala Belia 2023

The Selangor FC U18 squad advance to the Quarter Finals of the 2023 Youth Cup after finishing the Liga 1 at the top table recently with 11 accumulated points from five matches.

This season, the Football Association of Malaysia has made some changes, each Champion and Runner-up of Zone A, Zone B, Zone C and Zone D will advance to the next stage in League 1 Group and the top five teams will go to the Quarter Final stage. Meanwhile, the other teams will play in League Group 2 to get the top three positions to have a chance to play in the Quarter Finals.

The Red Giants U18 squad played in five matches in League 1 before qualifying for the Youth Cup Quarter Finals. Here are the results of the match:-

In the Liga 1 tournament, the Selangor U18 squad has scored 13 goals in five matcehes. Syahir Sukri became the top scorer of the U18 Red Giants with four goals. Followed by Izzat Syahir and Amirul Izwan with two goals. In addition, Adib Adhwa, Adam Haikal, Zamirul Hakim, Syahir Zulihsan and Syazwan Zamri have scored one goal for the Selangor B18 squad in Liga 1.

In addition, Parid Hidayatulloh, the main goalkeeper of the Selangor U18 squad has recorded a 'Clean Sheet' in three out of five matches, proving that the defence and also the goalkeeper have also performed brilliantly in the Liga 1 competition.

For your information, the Selangor U18 Squad is scheduled to face Penang FC in the 2023 Youth Cup Quarter-Final round on August 14 at Stadium Bandaraya, Pulau Pinang (away match) and August 20 at UiTM Stadium, Shah Alam (home match).
